It’s been a big day for… Listening to...

Aussie Actor Damon Herriman Is Charles Manson In Quentin Tarantino's New Film And Also In Netflix’s Mindhunter, So I Guess He's Literally Just Charles Manson For Everything Now

I think the bloke might be getting a little typecast.

Ever since Quentin Tarantino announced that he’ll be making a movie about the infamous Charles Manson murders in the 1960s, the big question has been who will be taking the role of the freaky yet charismatic cult leader.

Well we now have an answer and the answer is an Aussie bloke.

Reports state that Tarantino has cast Aussie actor Damon Herriman as Manson in his upcoming film Once Upon a Time in Hollywood. But in a weird twist of fate, Herriman has also been cast in Netflix’s serial killer TV series Mindhunter as … Charles Manson.

Talk about living out some weird dream

This is either coincidence or Herriman has proven himself to be such a convincing cult leader that every leading Hollywood director now wants the bloke to play Charles Manson in literally everything. It’s probably to the directors’ benefit as well as they can probably share notes on Herriman’s sure-to-be creepy portrayal of Manson.

For those who have no idea who Herriman is, he is an actor from Adelaide who has appeared in several Aussie film and TV productions like Down Under, Water Rats, and Love My Way. He’s also made a bit of a splash in the US for his hilarious turn as the dimwitted Southern hick Dewey Crowe in the awesome western TV series Justified.

Honestly, Herriman’s scenes alone is reason enough to watch Justified and his acting is more than convincing enough to portray Manson.

As for when we will get to see Herriman be a creepy Charles Manson, Once Upon a Time in Hollywood will be released on July 26, 2019. No release date has been announced for Mindhunter though there’s buzz that a 2019 release date is penciled in, probably to cash in on Herriman’s dual roles as Manson.

Big things are ahead in 2019 for Herriman that’s for sure. Some might even say that he’s gonna… kill it.

I’ll show myself out now.
