Tracy Morgan Paying A Bartender To Keep An Eye On His $2M Bugatti Is The Definition Of BDE

He's not taking any chances.

If you’ve saved up enough pocket money to treat yourself to a brand new Bugatti, you’re not going to take any chances leaving it parked outside a restaurant.

This is something comedian Tracy Morgan can personally attest to, having legitimately paid a bartender to watch his $2M Bugatti while he ate at Carmine’s restaurant in New York this week.

A source told Page Six that Morgan “paid one of the restaurant’s bartenders who just came off his shift to watch his Bugatti while he and a friend dined.”

While Morgan tucked into “Carmine’s signature chicken, veal parmigiana and fried calamari,” the bartender kept his eye on the luxury vehicle parked out front.

If this isn’t the definition of BDE, I don’t know what is. Sorry, Pete Davidson.

It’s not surprising Morgan is going to great lengths to protect his property. In June, just hours after he purchased the sportscar, another driver travelling into a Honda CR-V smashed into it.

“He said he got it literally an hour ago and he paid $2 million for it,” a source said at the time. “He just bought it, dude, and it’s pretty scraped up.”

In fact, Tracy Morgan hasn’t had much luck with cars at all. In 2014, the comedian was involved in a six-vehicle crash in New Jersey while travelling in a Mercedes Sprinter minibus. The vehicle was heading north when it was struck from behind by a Walmart trailer, causing a chain reaction of subsequent collisions.

Fans were devastated to hear that the crash had killed 62-year-old comedian James McNair, and left Morgan with severe injuries including a broken leg, nose, and several broken ribs.

Morgan sued Walmart for negligence, resulting in the driver accepting a plea deal with no jail time. In a 2015 interview Morgan revealed he had no memory of the crash and said “I have my good days and my bad days, where I forget things.” The same year, the comedian made a surprise appearance at the Emmy Awards where he was greeted with a standing ovation.

After all of that, Tracy Morgan deserves to sit back, relax and let someone else watch his car for him.
