Jason Momoa Plastic-Shaming Chris Pratt On Instagram Is A Huge Ego Bruise

"Bro I love you but WTF."

Don’t even think about drinking from a plastic bottle if you’re mates with Jason Momoa – he will call you out. It’s a lesson fellow actor Chris Pratt was forced to learn this week when he posed on Instagram with a plastic drink bottle.

As part of a commercial partnership with Amazon, Pratt posted a gym pic to Instagram with the caption: “You’re probably wondering why I’m standing here, low key flexing, gazing into the distance… well, turns out I’m teaming up with @amazon to show you guys everything I use for my workouts, keeping active, and all that fun stuff to get you prepped for 2020.”

The comments section of Pratt’s post was flooded with compliments from his famous friends and followers like brother-in-law Patrick Schwarzenegger who posted, “Looking ripped!,”
Will & Grace star Sean Hayes who commented, “Is that a picture of me? Oh, wait. No it is not me. Common mistake.”

Even Pratt’s new wife Katherine Schwarzenegger shared her love in the comments section of his post, writing, “love it baby!” with three heart eye emojis.

However, amidst the love fest, there was one comment that chose to focus on something other than Pratt’s fit rig. “Bro I love u but WTF on the water bottle,” Jason Momoa commented on Pratt’s photo. “No single use plastic. Come on.”

If that’s not an ego bruise, I don’t know what is.

It’s no surprise Momoa is calling out Pratt’s plastic use – the Aquaman star has been advocating for clean oceans and recycling for a number of years now. This year, he even shaved off his iconic beard to promote, Mananalu, a line of canned water.

“I just want to do this to bring awareness because plastics are killing our planet and I think we have a solution,” he explained in a video. “I don’t want to bitch about it, [but] there’s only one thing that will really help our planet and save our planet – as long as we recycle – and that’s aluminium.”

If calling out your mate is in the name of saving the environment and our oceans, it’s fine by me. Keep fighting the good fight, Momoa!
