Chris Hemsworth has revealed something quite odd about himself during an appearance on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon when he, Jimmy and Kumail Nanjiani played a game of ‘True Confessions’.
The game sees the players read a confession, which may be true or false, to the others who have 45 seconds to question the person reading the confession and guess if they’re telling the truth or not.
The Thor star was up first and told the other two, “My first job was cleaning out breast pumps.”
Kumail and Jimmy clearly don’t believe him at first, especially when he tells them he was just 14 years old when he had the job.
He also used his acting chops to make it seem like he was lying so that didn’t help in trying to figure out if he was telling the truth or not.
Kumail asked, “Were there other aspects to the job?” To which Chris responded, “It was repairing them occasionally as well.” Something that Kumail clearly didn’t believe.
Chris stumbled through an explanation of how breast pumps work so as to prove he did repair them. He also added, “Pharmacies would rent them out… And they’d come back covered in dry milk, so I’d use a toothbrush and I’d have to clean the dried milk off.”
Kumail tells Jimmy he thinks Chris is telling the truth, saying, “If it’s not, he’s a psychopath.”
Jimmy, however, thought Chris was lying, saying that he might have been around animals and a similar situation came up so he changed the story to be a lie.
“I think it’s inspired by what he used to do with animals and then changed it to a lie,” Jimmy says.
Kumail responded, “That’s very smart, you’re good at this! He took almost the truth and changed it into a lie!”
They both decided Chris was lying, only to find out he had been telling the truth!
Chris then revealed, “I literally worked for a pharmacy, they would rent them out. The machines would come back and I would have a toothbrush, a little spray and wipe,” adding they were “covered” in dried milk.
Kumail jokingly wondered if the women who used the breast pumps knew that it was Chris Hemsworth who had cleaned them after they used them.
