Chris Hemsworth Will Be Playing Hulk Hogan In An Upcoming Biopic Which Will Be A Natural Fit For His Muscles

It's Hemsmania.

The Hollywood Reporter is reporting that Chris Hemsworth is signed on to play Hulk Hogan in an upcoming biopic directed by Hangover director Todd Phillips. According to THR, deals for the project are in the final stages at Netflix.

The movie was written by Scott Silver, who also wrote 8 Mile, and will see Phillips and Silver reunite following their work on Jokerset to come out later this year.

Chris Hemsworth is a pretty great choice for the role of Hulk Hogan. He’s already famous for his physique, he’s constantly working out, and he’s probably got some moves or two from his time as Thor.

Even if you don’t care about wrestling at all, you’ve probably heard of Hulk Hogan. He was one of the biggest names in wrestling throughout the 80s and 90s, and has regularly made headlines since for a variety of colourful personal reasons.

Hogan is known for his distinctive look: the facial hair, haircut and deep tan are key components of it, and I already know it will be incredibly entertaining to see Chris Hemsworth in costume as Hulk Hogan. At least he has practice dressing up as a beefy blonde man!

The movie will focus on his rise through the ranks of the WWF, and is described as “an origin story of the Hulkster and Hulkamania”. The Hulk will serve as a consultant on the movie, so don’t expect it to be too critical.

The movie is only in the pre-production stages, so it won’t hit our screens for quite some time. In the mean time, you can enjoy this Hulk Hogan music video.
