CBS Is Remastering All Eight Seasons of Charmed In Full High Definition, Possibly To Distract Us From Their Horrible Reboot Idea

The power of HD will set you free.

It’s the first piece of good Charmed-related news we’ve had in a darn long time and now CBS have made our lives by announcing they’ll be remastering all eight seasons of the show, which they plan to release in September 2019.

This will give fans the chance to finally view the series in full-screen high definition.

Assuming CBS do it the right way – there’s no better way than to keep the show alive for original fans and for a new generation of viewers.

This is pretty exciting news – not since the remastering of Buffy have we seen such crystal-clear footage of our favourite ass-kicking nineties heroes.

Just as long as CBS don’t mess with the colour too much, I’m on board.

Charmed was the longest-running all-female led drama and the show’s legions of viewers are a passionate bunch, so it makes sense that CBS would want to capitalise on the ongoing legacy of the series – especially since the backlash toward the reboot idea has been so brutal.

Even the show’s original stars weren’t on board with the idea of a remake.

According to CBS, Seasons 1 and 2 of the new and improved Charmed have already been remastered, and to be honest, the footage looks pretty pristine and brand new.

The show is celebrating its 20th anniversary this year, so it’s nice that fans are receiving this blessed gift for their two decades of dedicated obsession.

Let’s just hope the re-released footage comes with a few bonus special features thrown in to sate our appetite for another 20 years.
