Time to dust off your 100 emojis because we have some great news for all you Brooklyn Nine-Nine fans out there: Chelsea Peretti is coming back to the show.
That’s right, there’s no need to turn Gina’s tweets into a book because she’s still alive and well.
According to a a sneak preview of the show’s upcoming pre-finale from TVLine, Chelsea be back for another go around as Gina, aka the “human form of the 100 emoji”.
The episode is aptly titled “Return Of The King” and will reveal to us what Gina has been up to this whole time and how her new job has affected her relationships with all her old colleagues. Sounds ominous. If it turns out she’s been working with The Vulture this whole time, I don’t think my heart can handle it.
Oh, a bunch of unimportant stuff also happens to each of the other characters but that’s all secondary to Gina’s return.
In case you need a quick refresher, Chelsea is no longer a series regular on the popular sitcom due to reasons that remain mysterious and potentially a little bit suss. That being said, at least she went out in the most Gina way possible: she quit her job, dropped dance moves everywhere, and made it all about her, which the show should’ve done in the first place TBH.
We won’t have to wait long to see the Paris of people make her long-awaited comeback as her big episode will hit airwaves on April 25 (April 26 for us).
In the meantime, you might as well incorporate emojis into your speech to better express yourself ahead of GIna’s return. Don’t bother leaving at voicemail though because it’s not 1993 and we won’t check it.
