It’s been quite some time since Rosa Diaz came out as bisexual to her colleagues and family on Brooklyn Nine-Nine and yet we’ve only really heard her and others talk about her relationships in passing rather than be shown anything.
In fact, Rosa has been in an off-screen relationship with a mysterious woman this whole season and the only things we know is her name (it’s Jocelyn) and what she does (she’s a hairstylist who loves doing up Rosa’s hair).
Well folks, that is no longer the case because the latest episode, titled “Therapist”, has finally introduced us to Jocelyn and she is a goddamn delight.

Played by talented comedian Cameron Esposito, this whole reveal is a pretty big frigging deal as not only is Rosa notoriously private about all aspects of her life but we can finally put a real face to the name.
Anyway, this reveal is part of the episode’s B-plot involving Captain Holt pulling out all the stops to meet Jocelyn after finding out that she’s met everyone at the Nine-Nine but him.
Needless to say that this episode was an absolute riot in the lead up to Jocelyn’s big intro, which included the old “hiring an actress to play my girlfriend” schtick, but the payoff was well worth the season-long wait as she was just as funny and charming as we all hoped.
The only people more excited than us and every other Nine-Nine fan were Cameron, Stephanie Beatriz, and Andre Baugher, all of whom were stoked about Jocelyn and couldn’t help but let their glee loose on Twitter.
So incredibly excited to tell u ROSA’S GOT A GIRLFRIEND & IT’S ME

Between this, Lin Manuel-Miranda’s showcase as Amy Santiago’s brother, and the brilliant episode revolving around the #MeToo movement, it’s been a cracking season of Brooklyn Nine-Nine so far.
With another season officially confirmed, here’s hoping to even more shenanigans involving Jocelyn, Amy’s bro, and whoever the show decides to introduce in the future.
