Some of the very best TV you can get is a smart modern sitcom with a heart of gold and a cast of glorious weirdos, some of whom mash their faces together after you’ve been yelling at them to do it for two whole seasons.
It’s a vibe exemplified by Parks & Recreation, Brooklyn Nine-Nine, The Office US, or relative newcomer The Good Place.
And one man is the common thread behind all these life-affirming, infinitely quotable shows.

Yes, that’s Mose Schrute, Dwight’s beet-farming, manure-throwing, scarecrow-loving cousin, as played by Michael Schur.
Schur co-created The Office‘s US adaptation and Parks & Rec with Greg Daniels, co-created Brooklyn Nine-Nine with Dan Goor (not a doctor, shhh), and created The Good Place.
Collectively, fans call it the Schurverse. But not everyone has made the link between the mind behind so many of their favourite shows and Mose.
