The Sheer Talent Of Timothée Chalamet Is Incredible And What We’re Seeing In This New Beautiful Boy Trailer Is Just The Beginning
Chalamet has gone straight for the Hollywood jugular and he’s only going to get bigger and better.
It has been less than a year since Call Me By Your Name took our breath away and Timothée Chalamet suddenly became Hollywood’s favourite young star. He then stole our hearts as the artsy-but-aloof romantic interest in yet another Oscar nominated film, Ladybird.
For as long as he’s been in the spotlight, he’s been hailed as one of the most talented in the industry. We never saw him climb the ladder to be taken seriously because his talent is so powerful it demands to be taken seriously.
Chalamet has done a few other projects since then, but his performance in the upcoming film Beautiful Boy has people heralding him a shoo-in for a Best Supporting Actor nomination in next year’s Oscars.
We thought the first trailer was heartbreaking, but this just-released second trailer will get under your skin like nothing else.
Watching Chalamet portray the tortured young man, on the edge of survival and torn between his meth addiction and his family, it really makes you think – this guy is f**king INCREDIBLE.
There is a reason he was the youngest Best Actor nominee since 1939. His ability to take on a character and make them seem real is mesmerising. When he performs, he is immersed, and so are we. We are never brought out of the narrative because we cannot see the acting.
This is the shot which shocked me more in the new trailer.
I’m scared. I feel the fear a parent feels when he can’t recognize his son anymore.
This is not Timothée. He is totally his character, completely transformed.
I can’t see any acting.
I see only art.#TimothéeChalametpic.twitter.com/9UgExuOnVo
Timothée Chalamet is only 22 years old. He’s 22 years old and he’s already mastered the trade better than most actors who have spent years in the game.
He’s incredible to watch (and not just because, admittedly, his face is so damn beautiful.)
“Chalamet possesses an uncanny knowledge of how to use his body as an instrument. As Nic, [Timothée]expresses the horror of an addict who no longer feels comfortable in his own body.”#TimothéeChalamet#BeautifulBoy
The newcomer’s career is set up to skyrocket, as he undoubtedly has a huge crowd of projects lining up to have him on board. The more roles he takes on, the better he’s bound to get, which might not seem possible at this point but that’s what makes him so exciting.
