Dating is hard, and so popular dating app, Bumble, has added a new feature that will either make it easier or harder, depending on your belief system.
Namely, do you believe in astrology?
If so then great news! Bumble will now allow you to filter your matches by star sign. That means you can select to only see potential suitors with specific star signs, and Bumble will hide the star signs you don’t choose.
You can access the feature through the ‘advanced filters’ section in settings.

For the astrologically-inclined (which could be anyone, it’s a slippery slope), this ostensibly makes dating easier. Every star sign is theoretically more compatible with certain star signs than others, so filtering some out saves you wasting your time on love that isn’t written in the stars.
Bumble is bowing to the resurged obsession with astrology, and is giving the people what they want.

Next step: get Bumble to have people list their exact time of birth so you can fully evaluate their natal chart and your exact astrological compatibility.
However, if you’re not astrologically-inclined, or just too painfully aware of how hard it is to date these days, the idea of filtering people out by date of birth might not appeal to you as a rational strategy. To each their own.
You can opt out of filtering your potential matches, but you can’t opt out of being filtered and you can’t filter out people who filter by star sign. So good luck out there!
