It’s been a big day for… Listening to...

A Stack Of First Pics And BTS Footage From Disney’s Live-Action Aladdin Confirms This Movie Is Going To Be 100% Epic

This is a more generous peak at the action than we ever expected.

We’ve got our first look at Guy Ritchie’s live-action remake of the Disney classic Aladdin, and the production looks like it’s bringing the magic to life in a big way.

Entertainment Weekly released a series of pictures and some behind the scenes footage from the Aladdin set so we can see if they’re doing our childhood classic justice. The magazine cover shot alone is enough to get you pumped for the whole new world of this remake.

We’ve got Mena Massoud playing the hot young “street rat” turned prince, Aladdin, Naomi Scott playing our stubborn princess, Jasmine, and of course, Will Smith filling the big shoes left behind by Robin Williams in the role of Genie.

Besides Will Smith’s questionable beard, everything looks quite astoundingly beautiful. The colours of the fictional Agrabah and the recreation of all the action is on point by the looks of the behind the scenes footage and pictures Entertainment Weekly shared.

And can we please all have a moment of appreciation for how damn cut Abu the monkey is!?

Aladdin is set to hit cinemas in May 2019, and you in the mean time you can check out the full Entertainment Weekly feature here.
